Build literacy, focus and confidence through the transition into high school (Years 7–8).
They’re capable — but the workload, pace and expectations are starting to overwhelm them.
If the move into high school has exposed learning gaps, we provide personalised, assessment-led support to stabilise skills, rebuild confidence, and restore independence. (Numeracy included if needed.)
Is this the right support for my child? Is this your child?
Many parents contact us in Years 7–8 because the transition into high school hasn’t gone as expected.
They may be noticing:
- increased homework stress or avoidance
- difficulty keeping up with reading and written work
- incomplete or rushed tasks despite effort
- forgetting instructions, deadlines or materials
- falling confidence or disengagement
- comments like “I’m just not good at school”
These students are often capable and creative — but the volume and pace of high school exposes gaps that were previously manageable.
This is not a lack of effort.
It’s a learning-load issue.
Why Years 7–8 matter
Years 7–8 are a high-risk period for confidence.
Students are expected to:
- manage multiple teachers and subjects
- read and write more independently
- organise time, materials and deadlines
- retain and apply information more efficiently
When learning foundations aren’t secure, students can quickly feel overwhelmed or fall behind.
Addressing these challenges early in high school helps prevent long-term disengagement and allows students to rebuild confidence before expectations increase further.
Our approach
We don’t offer generic tutoring.
Our work is assessment-led and personalised, designed to strengthen how your child learns — not just what they practise.
We support visual and creative learners by:
- using visual and tactile strategies to strengthen working memory
- teaching literacy through meaning, imagery and structure — not rote memorisation
- addressing attention, focus and follow-through in practical ways
- building executive-function foundations such as time, order and sequencing
- supporting confidence so learning becomes sustainable, not stressful
Numeracy support is included where appropriate and taught for understanding rather than rote learning.
Why we start with an assessment
Every student who joins our programs begins with an assessment.
This allows us to:
- confirm whether our approach is suitable
- identify the specific foundations that need strengthening
- recommend the level of support that will genuinely make a difference
We do not place students into programs without this clarity.
Assessment protects outcomes and ensures support is appropriate, not generic.
Assessment fee: $330.
Program structure and pricing
Following assessment, we recommend the level of support that best suits your child’s needs.
Options may include:
- 1 day per week — $300/week
- 2 days per week — $500/week
- 3 days per week — $650/week
A minimum of 5 attendances applies.
Missed days may be made up when availability allows.
Placement is guided by assessment and cohort availability.
